Boy making jokes

Comedians have long joked that actors and singers get all the girls which is why they have fine tuned the fine art of self-defacing comedy for lack of better options.  However, as much as comedians may complain in order to get a chuckle from their audience, it seems that comical rules are in high demand at all times.
In fact, there is so much competition over who is the funniest comedian in Hollywood that every year brings a new plethora of funny guys to the stage in a competition to be the one comedian who truly does warrant the best girls and the best jokes!  For those who enjoy a good laugh, here is a list of the comedians who are currently topping the list of American’s favorite comedians.
1.) Steven Colbert- To the casual Comedy Central viewer, it is easy to take Steven Colbert seriously until looking down at the station icon which is why Colbert is safely crowned the king of satire.  With his witty remarks and cutting comments to his guests, one never knows who he will nail next on his show which is of course half the fun of the joke.
2.) Dave Chappelle- While Chappelle has not been heard from much lately, he is a king on most college campuses due to his obvious dirty, fun humor that is infused with irony that never fails to shock and amuse viewers.  Somewhat a Chris Rock in his own right, Chappelle may not be on the air lately, but his first season humor DVD topped the charts for weeks after its release a feat that is virtually unheard of for a comic.
3.) Sacha Baron Cohen- Cohen is possibly the funniest foreign immigrant that you will ever meet, which is why most people are surprised to learn that it is entirely all a sketch act joke.  He is the true definition of a character comic as it seems that Borat will live in infamy for the rest of his life, which is perfectly fine with almost every comic fan in the world (including people in Khakistan).
4.) Dane Cook- Cook is unique in the fact that he is able to pull off some decent sketch comic lines, but most people would rather watch then listen to his performances.  This is because Cook puts his all into his sketch routine with flamboyant fun gestures, quirky energy spurts, and downright weird expressions and movements that no comic is yet to capture in such a hilarious light.
5.) Jon Stewart- Stewart has become an icon among comics because not only does the man know how to make a good joke that all ages can get, but he does it with a vast amount of political and social awareness that leaves most peoples’ mouths open after they finish laughing as they catch his sketch implications. In essence, Stewart is proof that you can be well educated and fun, have a great sense of humor without a pompous attitude, and still hold political value: something you are not likely to ever see in any other comic on the airwaves today.

Sketch comics have been around since the early black and white films and with good cause because it seems humor never goes out of style.  People are always up for a good joke, which is why these top five fun comics will probably be around for awhile.
